Barcelona Aquarium is located in Port Vell, Barcelona, Catalonia. It is one of the best things to do in Barcelona.

Aquarium Barcelona, opened in 1995, is one of the most important marine leisure and education centres in the world. The facility hosts a series of 35 tanks, 11,000 animals and 450 different species, an underwater tunnel of 80 meters long, six million liters of water and an immense Oceanarium which is the only one in Europe.

There are a total of over 30 different aquariums and each of them has about 450 species of sea life including sharks. Having more than 11,000 animals, there is a lot to see about sea life and researchers do not just go there for fun, they also go there to learn.
There is a huge transparent glass for the sharks to see how they swim and perform other activities.

Services in the Barcelona Aquarium include; Auditorium Barcelona, Coffee shop- self-service, L'Aquàrium shop and Photo souvenir.

 
 

After a treat at Barcelona Aquarium, one can be sure of leaving with souvenirs which can be obtained at the aquarium shop. The aquarium is open to both adults and children.

Barcelona Aquarium is open all year round. Ticket offices and accesses open until one hour before. It is one of the best
