the Montjuďc, there is a
modern Funicular
railway taking the
visitors up the hill to
Avenida de Miramar.

the fortress,
Castillo de Montjuďc

there.

Estadi Olímpic area
you'll find the Palau
Sant Jordi that is a
multi-purpose building
and marvel of design;

Picornell with
swimming pools; the seat
of the INEFC that
is a sports university.

were the settings of the
1992 Olympics. The

attractive garden in
Montjuďc Park such as
the Botanical Gardens (Jardín
Botánico).

theater and cultural
entertainment, Palau d'Esports on Calle
Lleida and the Ciutat
del Teatre are the
popular places.
Nearby
Paseo de Santa Madrona, the Museu
d’Arqueologia de
Catalunya is another
great attraction in
Montjuďc Park that takes
the visitors on a
journey to distant
periods of Catalan
history.
Finally
there it stands the
Teatre Grec that is
an open-air theatre. It
gives its name to a
summer festival of
performing arts as well.
