About Beaches in Barcelona
Although it is a metropolitan city but also Barcelona is famous with its golden sandy beaches.

Barcelona has 7 clean series of urban beaches with the length of 4,2 kilometers.

Also their beach bars called “Chiringuitos” in Spanish are popular. You may have your beer & tapas and enjoy your Barcelona days.

Barcelona beaches from south to north include; Sant Sebastiŕ Beach, Barceloneta Beach, Nova Icaria Beach, Bogatell Beach, Mar Bella Beach, Nova Mar Bella Beach and Llevant Beach.

 

Sant Sebastiŕ Beach



Sant Sebastiŕ in Barcelona is located in Barceloneta, in the Cituat Vella district and is one of the closest to central Barcelona. Its length is 1100 meters and is one of the largest beaches in Barcelona.  It is very well equipped. It also has a nudist zone. There are variety of sports clubs offering various activities.

Arrival to the beach of Sant Sebastiŕ is via the Metro Yellow Line, L4 and by taking the stop "Barceloneta".

Barceloneta Beach



Barceloneta Beach in Barcelona is the most popular beach for foreigners in Barcelona and the most closest one to city center. Its length is 900 meters with best restaurants, bars, clubs and sports activities and stretch north from Barcelonata to Port Olimpic (Vila Olimpicia). It lies beyond the city's first 2 skyscrapers of Mapfre Office building and the Hotel Arts. Facilities at the Barcelonata beach include; library, table tennis, top notch, showers, deck chairs, lifeguard and beach volleyball courts.

Arrival to the beach of Barcelonata is via the Metro Yellow Line, L4 and by taking the stop "Barceloneta".

Nova Icaria Beach



Nova Icaria Beach
in Barcelona is also one of the most closest beach to the Barcelona center and to the Port Olimpic. Its length is 400 meters. Although it is a short beach but it is the widest one of Barcelona beaches. And that gives great opportunities for sports activities. There are lots of beach volleyball courts. Nova Icaria Beach is also popular with watersports. Visitors may do windsurfing, jet skiing and all kind of watersports.

Arrival to the beach of Nova Icaria is via the Metro Yellow Line,  L4 and by taking the stop "Ciutadella Vila Olimpica".

Bogatell Beach



Bogatell Beach
is one of the most popular Barcelona beaches that is worthy of it its being very safe and for the kite surfing. Its length is 700 meters. It has a bike lane. Visitors may do table tennis, beach volleyball, windsurfing, kite surfing and Frisbee.
