is a pretty village located on in the
along the river of Riu Onyar.
The old town is really
very historical and scenic and surrounded by passageways, staircases and arches.
Saint Mary's Cathedral is the town's one of the best
cityscape. Girona Cathedral is another one worth seeing.
A monumental staircase of 86 steps dating back to 18th
century is the town's must see. "Temps de flors (flowers)" exhibitions
are organized there.
There are a lot of restaurants, tapas bars and shops under the
arcades of Carrer de los Balisteres and Rambla. Variety of hams
and paella worth tasting. Don’t leave
Girona without tasting churros
(fried donut) and horchata (almond milk). Spanish wines here are
excellent as well.
