Fiestas & Traditions in Costa Calida

Festivals are colorful and lively in Costa Calida.

The romerías (pilgrimages to a shrine) of the Virgin in the Mar Menor, Carnival, Carthaginians and Romans, La Unión Mining Song Festival and the solemn celebrations of Holy Week are the most popular and remarkable ones.

The Carnival in Aguilas in February is spectacular and worth a see. Spectacular parades and celebrations held outdoors along with a National Contest of “Salsa” Music.
