Sierra de Grazalema Nature Reserve is located between
Cadiz and
Malaga in
Costa de la Luz, on the south west part of Spain. It is one of
the rainiest regions in Spain.
The region is a mountain area declared as a natural park that is very famous for
its pinsapo which is a species of fir which is a living relic left over
from the last Alpine glacier period.
The wildlife in the park contains the species such as the griffon vulture,
golden eagle, the peregrine falcon as well as kites and buzzards. There are also
mammals such as the mongoose, red deer, Spanish ibex and roe deer.
