Originally
called Oasis de Los Camellos, it is a small
zoo located in La Lajita, Spain. La Lajita is
also famous for its fishing activities and there is
no surprise about this since it is located on the
east coast of
Fuerteventura. The La Lajita Zoo is one of
the best
places to
see
in
Fuerteventura.
The zoo houses hippopotamuses, giraffes and over 200
species of birds. The most appealing attraction
however is the presence of Camel Safaris. Also there
is a botanical garden at the zoo worth seeing.
La Lajita zoo is frequently visited by the
inhabitants of Tarajalejo and La Cuesta de La Pared
because of its location in between them.
International tourists are always welcomed to the
zoo everyday. Often, one can go there for relaxation
