Lobos Island is situated towards the northern
end of
Fuerteventura. The Lobos Island is one of
the best
places to
see
in
Fuerteventura. The name came into being to
remember the colonies of mock seals or sea wolves
that were alive on the island until the 1800’s. One
of the best
things to do in Fuerteventura.
The island is two meters (6.56 feet) away from the
main island. This distance is covered by a narrow
passage of water that joins the two islands
together. This passage is known as El Roi.
The island is basically meant for tourism so it is
rare to see people who have settlements there.
Lobos Island is enjoyable for its transparent waters
in the beaches and restaurants where people can
enjoy themselves before and after having fun at the
beach or exploring the Island.
How to Get There?
Ferries leave from
Corralejo harbor and it takes about 15 minutes
to reach the Lobos Island. |
