The Library and Documentation Centre (BCD) of CAAM
contains an extensive library collection and
documentation of contemporary art. Specific
acquisitions highlights of the three continents
Africa, Europe and Latin interrelated with the
Canary Islands. The BCD has established partnerships
with similar institutions and also to acquire
current publications and maintains a publications
exchange program with more than 200 arts
institutions in the world.
This tourist site is always open on daily basis
except on Mondays. From Tuesday to Saturdays, one
can enjoy the beautiful arena and features between
10 am and 9pm while on Sundays it is open from 10 am
What is very interesting about this is that no fees
are required on entry into the site. The site is
home to various modern works across the continents.
It was first established in 1989 after it was built
on the grounds of former Banco de Espana. It
underwent further rehabilitation in 1994 and 1998.
Today, it can boast of having a lot of galleries.
