Gran Canaria has a 236 km. long shoreline which
means that the sea is a constant presence. Gran
Canaria offers 365 beach days a year. Along with its
steeply rising shoreline, Gran Canaria boasts a
great quantity of beaches of all types for the

in Gran Canaria is located on the south coasts.
The most popular and longest beach is Playa del
Inglés and Maspalomas beaches. The Playa del Inglés

tourism and beach life in Gran Canaria, used to be
two separate resorts that are located on the south
and very close to each other. Especially the Playa
del Inglés resort is very popular with its very long
and unique golden sandy beaches, nightlife and
attractions. The beach front starting from San
Agustin goes for about 6 km. and ends in Playa del
Playa de las Canteras in Las Palmas de Gran
Canteras beach in
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the main beach and
it has more than 3 km. of golden sandy beach
stretching the length of the western side of the
isthmus on which the city stands and joins the
island with the group of volcanic cones that are
known as “La Isleta”.
