Ibiza Old Town - Eivissa Dalt Vila is a UNESCO world Heritage site of Ibiza that has very attractive walls and networks of streets firmly secured by walls every where.

The capital town declared World Heritage Site that the city houses the main institutions of Ibiza and offers variety of services for the visitors and residents such as yachting marinas, business zones and hospitals. The neighboring La Marina district, Paseo de Vara de Rey and la Plaza de Vila are the main sights of the town as well as with the nice museums such as the Archeological Museum & Contemporary Art Museum and historical sites such as the necropolis of Puig des Molins.

Top Attractions, Sites of Interest & Things to Do in Ibiza Old Town - Dalt Vila

  • Ibiza Old Town (Dalt Vila) - Ibiza's old town is worth a visit with its narrow streets where the presence of history lives alongside the charm of a happy town. The Old Town of Ibiza is separated into a lower town and an upper town. The lower town borders directly with the harbor while the upper town is a restored region. The Plaza de Vila, the Plaza de Sa Carrosa and the Calle de la Virgen are the places of interest and to spend time.

  • Museums - The most attractive centers in the town are the Archeological museum of Elvissa and Formentera, Puget Museum and the contemporary Art Museum. The Archeological Museum has historic elements that are preserved to recall the history of the Pitiusas islands right from antiquity to when it was overtaken by Christian missionaries. Also in Dalt Vila, one can visit the Dominican convent which has been in existence since the 1500’s.

  • The Necropolis of Puig des Molins - The necropolis was used as a cemetery for more than 1000 years and it possesses about 3500 subterranean burial chambers.

  • The port of Ibiza - It is the spectacular place where all business and leisure activities take place as well as its being the point of arrival for the boats. La Marina district is located just by the port and during the day the streets of La Marina are full of activities such as shopping, museums, art galleries and dining. And in the night, it is the focal point for the great nightlife and entertainment in Ibiza. There are numerous bars, restaurants and terraces for the visitors to choose from and shops remain open until after midnight.

  • Center of the city - In addition to Dalt Vila and La Marina, the central zones such as Paseo de Vara de Rey or Plaza del Parque are the other sites of interest including numerous bars and shops. And also in Avenida de Espana, Avenida Bartolome Rosello and Calle Isidoro Macabich, visitors are able to find taxis and bus stops for getting around the island of Ibiza.

  • A nice walk at the Yachting Marina - Marina Botafoc and Ibiza Nueva are the beautiful yachting marinas that visitors may have a leisure activities.
