Santa Eularia, also known as Santa EulÓria des Riu is located on the centre east coast of Ibiza. It is the third largest resort, gastronomic and cultural centre of the island. The town hosts the only river of the Balearic Islands with a constant flow. The town stands out on account of its fortified temple, the church of Es Puig de Missa. Santa Eularia is famous with its beaches, charming villages and markets.

This former small fishing village has eventually become a swarming holiday centre. Santa Eularia offers a numerous beaches, charming villages, isolated fields and markets that attract thousands of tourist each year. Excursions depart and arrive the town both by ships and busses. There is a beautiful long sandy beach and palm-lined promenade area with several hotels and holiday apartments.

The beach here is a popular one especially for the kids and young visitors. The promenade area can be considered as the town centre and it reminds the visitors of the famous La Rambla in Barcelona.

  • Urban centre of Santa Eularia - The region has great activities all year round and has numerous services, shops, beaches, maritime promenade and the yachting marina. The streets are spread out around two main avenues that include Calle San Jaime and S'Alamera. Calle San Jaime is full of shops, restaurants, banks and chemists and Calle S'Alamera joins the seafront with the town.

  • A visit to the Es Puig de Missa - It is the spotlight of the town. The old town and the 16th century parish Church has been built on the Puig de Missa hill. The architecture of the church reminds the visitors of a medieval fortress with its semi circular arched watch towers. Also a stroll around the cobbled streets in spectacular views is a must together with a visit to the temple and cemetery. Visitors are also may visit the Ethnology Museum on Es Puig de Missa.

  • A visit to the Ethnology Museum & Barrau Museum - By the church, there is a public museum of Museo Etnologic. Traditional costumes, photograph collection of 50 years in Ibiza, old farm tools, toys and an olive pasting machine are exhibited at the museum.

  • A visit to the attractive village of Sant Carles de Peralta that include a whitewashed church with the traditional arcade. The villages is beautiful with its almond, fig and carob tress spread in a rural zone of wonderful farmhouses and coves in the company of crystalline waters.

  • A visit to the village of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera - The charming village is popular with its numerous bars and restaurants surrounded by fruit trees and shrouded in peace and quiet. The village is also famous for its clothes' shops, leather artisan goods, art galleries and variety of activities during the year.

  • A visit to the village of Jesus - The village houses one of the oldest church in the island.

  • A visit to the other charming village of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera that include some handcraft shop and art gallery.

  • Enjoying the sun and sea on the beautiful beaches of Santa Eularia.

  • Markets - Las Dalias in Sant Carles is held every Saturday (open all year round). Famous Punta Arabi in Es Canar is held every Wednesday (from April to October). Visitors may find variety of objects and gifts.
