Municipalities & Towns in Ibiza, Spain

Ibiza is divided into five municipalities. Ibiza Old Town, San Antonio, Santa Eularia, Sant Josep and Sant Joan.

Ibiza Old Town (Eivissa Dalt Vila)

Ibiza town is a UNESCO world Heritage site that has very attractive walls and networks of streets firmly secured by walls every where. In the 1960s, those who did not like Francis’s autocratic rule left for this town because of its calm atmosphere. [Read More]

San Antonio (Sant Antoni de Portmany) is located on the center west coast of Ibiza. It is the second largest town of the island by means of population and chief leisure entertainment center and hosting a wide natural port. Santa EulÓria des Riu

Santa EulÓria des Riu is located on the center east coast of Ibiza. It is the third largest resort, gastronomic and cultural centre of the island. The town hosts the only river of the Balearic Islands with a constant flow. This former small fishing village has eventually become a swarming holiday center. [Read More]

Sant Josep de sa Talaia

Sant Josep is located on the south west of Ibiza. It is the administrative town and the richest of the island and the largest municipality of the island. The town established under the highest mountain of the island. Sant Josep shares the Playa d'en Bossa beach with the municipality of Eivissa and Sant Antoni's Bay on the west. Sant Joan de Labritja

Sant Joan de Labritja is the most rural Ibiza on the northern part of the island. The municipality hosts the lowest number of inhabitants and offers the wildest natural landscapes, great flora and fauna and with spectacular cliffs that have been declared as a Natural Area of Special Interest. Puerto de San Miguel, Portinatx and Cala de Sant Vicent are the three popular tourist resorts in the region. [Read More]
