Since 1993, after UNESCO declared the
Timanfaya National Park a world biosphere
Lanzarote, it has been providing daily tourism
services between the hours of 9am – 5pm (8 hours
daily). The park consists of several volcanic lava
fields and an ochre colored “lunar” landscape. One
of the best
things to do in
It takes about 45 minutes to go round the field with
a bus. Both using a bus and walking in groups around
the park are organized by those in charge.
There are camels in the park also and they can be
hired for a tour around the park.
Those camel safaris is highly recommended for an
exciting excursion. The camel ride mostly starts at
noon and goes for about 25 mins. Strong perfume on
the riders is not recommended.
There is a place for wining and dining just in front
of the park. The restaurant (Diabolo restaurant) has
meals with natural taste to make them as appealing
as possible. Timanfaya National Park is also one of
see in Lanzarote.
