Alcudia is a beautiful tourist resort and holiday destination in Majorca located by the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, in the north of the island and 10 km. on the south of the other famous holiday resort of Pollensa.

Port d’Alcúdia; business, fishing and tourism make the town a residential and shopping centre in Majorca. With its port area, Alcudia has a population of ten thousand, which in summer rises up to ten times of that population.

Alcudia, with its old town wall, the Roman city of Pollentia and well-preserved amphitheatre is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Mallorca. It is a former Roman village and so on the 1,5 km. south of the town there lies the ruins of the Romans which are exhibited at the Centro Cultural de Pollença. Alcudia is situated on the base of the peninsula separating the Bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.

Things to Do & Places to visit and see in Alcudia include the nearby ruins of Pollentia, the small amphitheatre and the remains of the town wall with its three gates. The parish church houses the Chapel of the Santísimo Sacramento (Holy Sacrament) with two interesting retables that one of them is Gothic and the other one is Baroque. Port d’Alcúdia is the island’s main stretch of wetlands and an officially designated Nature Reserve nearby

Although there are no beaches in the centre of the town, but
Alcudia Bay is lined up with wonderful stretch of golden sandy beaches and holiday resorts of Can Picafort, Son Serra de Marina and the Colònia de Sant Pere. The region is also site of the s’Albufera Nature Reserve. And the beach of Playa de Muro is one of the most beautiful one. Amaze'n Laberintos in Playa de Muro's beach of Majorca is another tourist site, a fun park which has very big wooden maze. It is owned and run by young people who design and operate unique "Giant Maze Games" appealing to both adults and children.


The wonderful environment of Alcudia attracts its visitors with the wide selection of restaurants, bars and cafes. The market is the most popular attractions for the holidaymakers on their Majorca holidays.
