Déią is a village on the north-west coast of
in Spain which is very well known for its
characteristic olive groves, fishermens houses and
Moorish irrigation channels. It takes about thirty
minutes for someone to drive there from
Palma de Mallorca.
Since the beginning of 1990, the village has been
phenomenal in providing inspiration for artistic
works, literature and music. The village is covered
by the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains.
Fresh tourists visiting Déią for the first time can
go through Majorca Tourist office which is located
at Placa de la Reina 2, Palma, for adequate
preparation and guidance.
For classical music lovers; "Festival Internacional
de Deią" is annually organized at Deią.
There are a several small shops, restaurants and
hotels in Deią.
