There are eight ski & mountain resorts in Huesca, Aragon, Spain.

Five of them are for Alpine Skiing and names of the resorts are Candanchú, Astún, Formigal, Panticosa-Los Lagos & Cerler Mountain Resorts.

Alpine Skiing
Candanchú Ski & Mountain Resort

Candanchú lies in the very heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees, not far from the Somport mountain pass. It is Spain’s oldest resort (1928) and was the first to organize mini-ski courses. At altitudes ranging from 1,530 m to 2,400 m, the resort features a wide variety of ski runs suitable for all levels and a complete network of mechanical ski lifts providing access to the slopes.

Astún Ski & Mountain Resort

Situated in the Aragón Valley (Aragonese Pyrenees), the resort is accessible from the N-330 Road, on the way to Somport, on the border with France. It is 33 km from Jaca and 115 km from Huesca. With altitudes ranging from 1,658 m to 2,300 m, Astún features a wide variety of ski runs suitable for all skier categories. A comprehensive range of services is available in the residential area, not far from the terminal.

Formigal Ski & Mountain Resort

Four valleys. 130 skiable km. The most comprehensive resort in the Pyrenees. Formigal Ski Resort (Grupo Aramón), with 130 skiable km, has become a leading choice among winter sports lovers. All this is combined with 97 main ski runs covering four valleys, with access from any of the four resort entrances. Over 6,000 parking spaces.

Panticosa-Los Lagos Ski & Mountain Resort

The new ring road, running into the resort’s car parks, and the up-to- the-minute eight-passenger cable car provide fast, easy access to the slopes. The Panticosa Los Lagos Ski Resort, located in the village of the same name and watched over by the Telera and Tendeñera Sierras, boasts first-rate, brand-new facilities, coupled with a range of services worthy of any of the best European resorts. Enjoying a mild climate and set in heavenly scenery, the resort, complete with spa, is an ideal choice for an unforgettable holiday. Panticosa Los Lagos features slopes for all levels: four green, 14 blue, 16 red and four black. Snow is guaranteed throughout the season by about 100 snow guns. The slopes are tended and prepared with great care by the Ski Patrol and four piste-bashers, ensuring a firm tread at all times. The management undertakes not to sell more than 3,500 vouchers a day as a way of guaranteeing tip-top service all over the resort.

Cerler Ski & Mountain Resort

Part of the Aramón Group, the Cerler Ski Resort is located in the Benasque Valley. Overlooked by more than 60 peaks towering to an altitude of 3,000 m, the resort is noted for the beauty of its surroundings and scenery. Boasting some of Spain’s highest ski slopes, such as Pico Gallinero (2,630 m), the resort is covered by top-quality, deep, natural snow throughout the skiing season. The landscape and alpine relief combine to form an ideal spot for both experienced and proficient skiers wishing to improve their skills even further. Beginners are also catered for in a special area at an altitude of over 2,000 m, where the quantity and the quality of the snow are just right for learning. Batisielles chair lift at the Cerler Ski Resort, you will enjoy one of the best views not only of the Pyrenees’ highest peaks but also of the Posets-Maladeta Nature Park. You will rise from an altitude of 1,950 m to 2,320 m, where you may reach out and almost touch the legendary mountains of Aneto, Maladeta, Posets and Perdiguero. Nordic Skiing
Candanchú-Le Somport Ski & Mountain Resort

Long-distance skiing enthusiasts will be delighted by the splendid Candanchú-Le Somport Circuit. Looking due north, ski runs measuring a total 35 km are distributed over four marked, firm itineraries located in impressive scenery enhanced by a beech forest. In a completely natural setting, you may practice both classical and free-style long-distance skiing. Ski run tickets are valid for the Candanchú-Le Somport circuits, which are accessible from both the Spanish and the French sides, joining the Aspe and Aragón Valleys.

Panticosa Resort Ski & Mountain Resort

Situated in the Huesca Pyrenees at an altitude of 1,636 m, this skiers’ favorite, part of Panticosa Resort, stands in a cirque watched over by peaks reaching altitudes of over 3,000 m. The resort spreads over a meadow by a natural lake.

Llanos Del Hospital Ski & Mountain Resort

Situated at the heart of the Posets- Maladeta Nature Park, the resort is set in a striking landscape of glaciers and forests of pitch pine forming their own habitat. As it is located on the northern face of the Aneto-Maladeta Massif, the resort enjoys the privileges of a microclimate which guarantees plenty of snow throughout the winter season.
