Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the capital of
Tenerife and a regional port of the Canary
Islands. It is the second most populated city of the
Canary Islands and situated on a large natural bay
on the north part of the island. Santa Cruz de

famous carnival times. The city is popular with its
fantastic carnival during February and March. It is

modern sculptures are exhibited. Also the Palmetum
of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a large botanical
garden worth visiting.
The most attractive two church of Santa Cruz de
Tenerife are the Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la
Concepcion (dating back to 1500) and baroque Iglesia
de San Francisco.
