Tenerife has two airports which include;
Tenerife South Airport (TFS) and Tenerife North
Airport (TFN).

Tenerife South (Sur) Airport is the busiest one that
all flights arrive and depart to mainly
international European destinations. It is situated
60 km. to the south of
Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Tenerife South (Sur) Airport operates 24 hours a
day. It offers more than a hundred connecting
flights. The busiest day is Fridays and busiest
season is during winter. More than 150 companies
work on the premises.
The airport complex has an exclusive exit to the
TF-1 motorway which is two minutes away by car.
Tenerife South Airport also has a taxi service, car
hire offices and a scheduled service of buses that
leave practically every hour, seven days a week, to
Santa Cruz de Tenerife (route 111).
Buses also operate to different places in the north
such as Tenerife North Airport and Puerto de la
Cruz; and in the south of the island, such as
Playa de las Américas
and
Los Cristianos.

Tenerife North (Norte) Airport is the smaller one
and most domestic flights from Spain mainland are
organized. It is situated 10 km. to the west of
Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Tenerife North (Norte) Airport flights are mainly of
the scheduled domestic nature, 53 percent of which
are connecting flights to the other islands in the
archipelago that include Gran Canaria, Lanzarote,
Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.
Tenerife North (Norte) Airport also connects via
regular domestic flights to other airports in Spain.
Madrid-Barajas Airport is the most important
destination with more than a million passengers and
it is followed by the other popular destinations
Barcelona, Seville, Bilbao, Girona and Malaga.

of those car hire agencies have offices at the
airport, offering cheap
car hire in Tenerife and great cars at
