Practical Information about Valencia, Spain

Valencia is one of the most popular cities in Spain. It is the third biggest city of Spain.

Valencia Districts

Language
There are two official languages in Valencia. Spanish is the first one. The "Valenciano" that is used mostly in the Valencian Community is the second official language.

Transportation
Transportation through the city can be made via public busses, taxis, underground metro and vehicle/car hire and rentals. Public transportation is very easy through the city. TIP : "You are able to have unlimited public transportation within the city of Valencia with a Valencia Tourist Card. The card can be obtained from the Tourist Info office in Estación del Norte. You may also have discounts on your trips to Valencia museums, leisure activities, shops, restaurants and more with the VLC Tourist Card. (www.valenciatouristcard.com)"

Also the Valencia Bus Turistic is the perfect way to experience and enjoy the city of Valencia. Visitors may discover the city in a comfortable double-decker bus with an unbeatable sound system that offers detailed explanations and information of the popular sights of interest in the city. It departs from Plaza de la Reina in every 30 mins.

Valencia has typical hot-summer Mediterranean climate that is warm and dry in summer and mild in winter. The annual Average temperature is 17°C. Average temperature between July and August is 25°C. The coldest times is on January an average temperature of 10 °C.

220-240 V AC, 50 Hz. is the standard electrical voltage. It is recommended to bring transformer and adapters for the travelers having appliances with 2 square pinned plugs.
