Cala Millor Beach in Majorca

Beach view in Cala Millor

On the rocky eastern coast of Majorca, the Cala Millor beach is a haven of tranquil blue waters and fine white sand. This 2 km-long stretch of beach is nestled inside the Son Servera Bay, with wild rocky headlands protecting it from the surrounding sea. The result is shallow, calm water that is ideal for swimming, soaking, and snorkeling. It is particularly popular for parents, who feel safe letting their children play in the tranquil surf. The beach is so pristine that it has been named a Blue Flag beach, an award given to clean and sustainable beaches by the Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe.

Visitors to Cala Millor will enjoy nothing more than spending a day relaxing and sunning themselves on the beach. Lounge chairs and straw umbrellas are scattered along its length, available to rent by the day. Just sit in an unoccupied chair and attendants will be along to collect some money. They also rent out paddle boats. Lifeguards keep watch over the water, and flags are hung to indicate safety based on the water conditions and weather. There are public toilets and showers available, and the beach is handicap accessible.

Water sports are popular along Cala Millor’s beach, including windsurfing, waterskiing, jetskiing, banana boating, scuba diving, and fishing. Snorkelers can walk right out into the bay and see coral and fish. Glass-bottom boat tours leave from the jetty on the eastern end of the beach, allowing you to see into the calm water.

The palm-shaded promenade runs along the beach, where people walk, roller skate, bike ride, shop, eat, and drink. It is lined with beach shacks, souvenir shops, and outdoor cafes. After sunset, the bars and nightclubs fill up. Some of the clubs stay open as late as 6 am.
